Frequently Asked Questions
What is F.A.M.E.?
F.A.M.E. is our framework for understanding a candidates profile. We built it around the four pillars that the MBA admissions committees are looking at when making a decision on whether to admit a candidate or not.
What's so special about MBA Link’s innovative team-based coaching?
By working with a team of MBA consultants, MBA candidates are exposed to a tailored panel of experts who each bring their own expertise and perspective to the table in a way that’s hard to find anywhere else.
Can I get into an MBA program without a coach?
Yes, of course. In fact, one of our most successful clients was highly sceptical about the idea of working with a team of MBA admissions coaches, but they found that it was one of the best decisions they'd made. By working with us to understand what their strengths and weaknesses are, they were able to develop their own narrative to communicate those strengths with a fresh perspective, in a way they never considered before.
How many MBA candidates do you coach at the same time?
As a firm, we’ll typically work with around 40 clients a year spread out among 2 or 3 deadlines. However, we'll usually work with only 4 or 5 clients at a time. This is an ideal balance for attention for each MBA candidate, while also allowing us to see enough clients to gain the experience MBA applicants get to benefit from.
Will I receive a dedicated coach that will be available for me personally?
The Admissions Director is your “go to person” for whatever you need. As former Admissions Directors of top business schools, they know exactly what you need to get an offer from your dream schools.
What is your MBA admissions success rate?
We have a 100% success rate for clients applying to at least 4 schools! Our 100% success rate with applicants applying to at least 4 schools means that every single one of our clients gets admitted to at least 1 of their top 4 schools. This huge success stems from the experienced talent on our team that nurtures and stirs up the fresh talent of our MBA admissions clients.
How many schools do I need to apply to and why?
We think the magic number is 4 schools. You can do less or you can do more, but in our opinion 4 is the number that gives you enough chance at different schools while still allowing you to focus in on schools you really want.
How hard is it to get into the top MBA universities?
It's no secret that Ivy League universities are some of the most selective universities in the world. If you're asking this question, it's almost guaranteed that you should strongly be considering working with our team of MBA application consultants.
If my employer is paying for this, can I get an invoice to them instead?
Absolutely! Once you've had your free consultation with our MBA Link admissions specialist and it looks like we're a great fit to work together, we'll be able to arrange these details to best suit you.
How do I make payment if I want to work with MBA Link?
All of our clients will pay in full upfront, as this ensures much needed commitment to the process. In very rare cases and only if there is a good reason, we've been able to accommodate someone who needs to pay in instalments. You can make payment using a Credit/Debit Card or with a Bank Transfer.
Where is MBA Link based and how does the remote coaching process work?
We are a registered Singapore company but both our MBA consultants and our clients are situated in a variety of different places around the world. Operating virtually gives us tremendous flexibility, but if you are based in Singapore, please do drop by our office to say hello!
Will I still get the same quality of MBA consulting as a US-based company?
Many of our coaches are from the US, live in the US and went to US schools. Any of our coaches could easily get work at US based firms, but have chosen to focus on helping clients from Asia and around the world. We're fully committed to holding ourselves to the highest international standards and strongly believe that our service and team of seasoned MBA admissions consultants is on par with any MBA applications firm in the world.
If I invest with MBA Link and don't get into any schools, do you offer a refund?
Understandably, we don’t offer any guarantees. It costs us a tremendous amount of time and effort to go through the full process with a client. We work very hands on with every MBA candidate, so if a client is not successful at the end of our work together, the investment is borne by the applicant. The MBA applications process can be intensely competitive, so we want to work with clients who are in it to win it, as we are.
Do you have a minimum or maximum age for MBA applicants?
There is no strict minimum age, but most MBA programs will want their MBA applicants to have at least 2 years of work experience post their bachelor’s degree.
If I have a low GPA, can you still help me with my MBA admissions process?
Yes, we certainly can. Many of our clients have had a low GPA. The GPA is just one component of an MBA candidates suitability so there's not need to be concerned – we can help.
I’ve been burned by MBA admissions consultants before, how can I trust MBA Link?
Many of our clients come to us after having had bad experiences with other MBA admissions consultants. We invite you to schedule a free consultation with us and have an honest and open conversation about what you’re looking to achieve and your expectations. You'll find that we are incredibly committed to the quality of service that we deliver and maintaining integrity throughout the entire process for you.
I'm not from a 'traditional' background, can you still help me?
Absolutely! Business schools (and ourselves) love to see applicants from humble backgrounds and non-traditional industries, but with great attitudes towards performance and personal development, reach for the stars. We have a variety of packages available and have helped numerous MBA candidates with different backgrounds achieve great results.
